As the Founder and Chairman of the Hong Kong Pain Management (Critical Illness) Caring Foundation, I am continually humbled by the strength of those facing this illness and the unwavering dedication of our community - which includes our charity partners, the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Incubation Centre and Inspire Education Association - to bringing hope where it is needed most.
At our Foundation, we firmly believe that no one should face cancer pain or spinal nerve pain alone. Our mission is clear: to stand by patients, support their caregivers, advance groundbreaking research, and build a future where these diagnoses no longer represent a sentence of fear.
We are committed to:
Providing Full Surgical Funding: We subsidize the full cost of surgeries performed by leading medical experts from the LKS Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong and Queen Mary Hospital - alleviating the financial burden on patients during this critical time.
Offering Holistic Support: We provide both practical assistance and emotional guidance to patients and their families throughout their journey.
Advancing Medical Research: In collaboration with the LKS Faculty of Medicine and Queen Mary Hospital, we support critical research to integrate the latest surgical technologies and improve pain relief for those suffering from cancer and spinal nerve conditions.
Yet the need remains urgent. Every individual deserves not only treatment, but also dignity, support, and the space to hope.

癌症痛症與脊椎神經痛每日影響著無數生命和重塑每個家庭生活的軌跡，不但考驗人性勇氣，更挑戰社會整體共同的韌性。作為香港痛楚管理（危疾）關懷基金的創辦人兼主席，我始終對兩種力量心懷敬意：一是患者面對病痛的堅毅，二是包括香港社會企業策劃有限公司及啟賢教育協會在內的合作夥伴，其始終堅定不移的奉獻精神，時刻點亮希望之光。
本基金堅信：沒有人應該獨自面對癌症痛症或脊椎神經痛。我們使命清晰 - 成為患者的同行者、扶持照護家屬、推動突破性研究，以及共同構建一個讓這些醫學診斷不再代表恐懼的判決。
我們致力踐行三大承諾：
全額資助頂尖手術：全額資助由香港大學李嘉誠醫學院及瑪麗醫院醫生執行的相關手術費用，為處於關鍵時刻的患者減輕經濟重擔；
提供全人關懷支持：為患者及其家屬提供貫穿療程的實務援助與心靈情緒指導；
推動醫學科研：與港大醫學院及瑪麗醫院共同協作，支持整合最新手術技術的關鍵研究，提升癌症痛症與脊椎神經痛患者的緩痛成效。
然而各項挑戰依然迫切。每個生命不僅需要得到適當治療，更應獲得基本的人性尊嚴、社會支持與希望的共同存在空間。
